Extensive structural steel was required to allow for these items. A new 2-story stair tower was constructed as part of the new retail space. Considerable amounts of HVAC and electrical systems modifications and new work were required as well as plumbing and sprinkler systems. Large quantities of steel framing and drywall work were required on each level to prepare the shell space for new store fronts and maintain the required fire rating for the space.
